Community Development

Helping for a better world!

It is my pleasure to welcome you to one of the most exciting groups for young professionals.

As part of a very dedicated and motivated Board of Directors, my job is to ensure that the Jaycees have the opportunity to give back to society, whether foreign or local, in the form of Community Service.

This year we have teamed up with many great organizations which strive to strengthen, beautify, educate, and change, the communities and residents which encompass the Globe.

Some of our partnerships include:

  • McLamore House
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • United Way
  • Hands on Miami
  • Relay for Life

We also conduct a Back to School and Christmas Toy Drive for children in surrounding elementary schools.

Whether it's beautifying a local library or conducting a neighborhood cleanup in Tunisia , there is ALWAYS a way for the Jaycees, as we are affectionately known, to help out.

As a member of the Coconut Grove Jaycees, you also get the chance to conduct your own Community Service projects; This promotes personal growth as well as develops leadership, communication, and people skills.

Now that you have taken the time to visit this section of our website, I encourage you now to visit us at one of our general meetings to learn of all the Areas of Opportunity that JCI extends to its members.

10 Reasons to become a Jaycee and volunteer for/coordinate Community Service projects:
